Hello from the Fight for Philly tent here at Dilworth Plaza on the west side City Hall!
We pitched our tent on Friday with the goal of supporting our brothers and sisters at Occupy Philly, and we’re staying.
This past weekend was filled with excitement as the camp continued to swell with a growing number of frustrated Philadelphians that are demanding a fair economy.
The camp is full of people from all different walks of life, but we’re all here with tents and blankets. Our goal: show corporate America that we’re fired up and can’t take it anymore.
Fight for Philly will be having a constant presence at Occupy, and each day, a new volunteer will be sleeping in our cozy little tent.
We encourage our Fight for Philly members to come out and support the Occupy movement and show City Hall that we really mean it when we say that things in our country need to change.
Tradition says that change doesn’t happen overnight, and that’s why we’re camping out. But this a movement that will affect our history for years to come.
Fight for Philly is ready to fight and we need all of Philadelphia to stand and fight with us.
