What Do We Want?

Fight for Philly is building a network of citizens & community leaders in the neighborhoods hardest hit by the 2008 economic meltdown.

Big Banks and Corporations have been able to create an economy that works for the 1% with money, influence and power. For decades, the gap between rich and poor has been growing, driven by income inequality, job cuts, and tax policies favoring the rich.

We want our elected leaders to hold the banks and corporations accountable for their greed that caused the economic crash of 2008. We want them to them to take steps towards a fair economy that gives us all a fair shot at a decent life.

Once we fix this, we want to make sure that it never happens again.

Nothing moves our lawmakers like the power of the peoples’ vocal and effective demands. Parents, educators, workers, unemployed people, students, and seniors are all paying the price for banking and corporate greed, and we all need to act in order to make change.
