I know there is much irony here but I have to point out that the campaign slogan he ran on was "More Jobs, Less Government." (http://www.toomeyforsenate.com/)

Well either he is a full blown hypocrite or his definition of JOBS is only Executive and Upper Management positions.

C'mon Toomey at least hold a public forum to talk about Job creation!!!!

Fight for Philly???? Democrats have been in political control of our fair city for decades and because of taxes companies have closed or left the state! Its not Senator Tomey's responsiblity to produce jobs!! Our taxes are one of the highest in the country, sales tax, real estate taxes keep going up! The city just added a $13.00 water run off charge on our water bills, We are senior citizens and can't afford these charges!! We have become a welfare state folks and need to clean house first and then maybe we will have a chance of becoming the city we used to be!!

How about instead of demanding jobs from the gov't, you start a business of your own? Then not only would you have a job, you'd eventully be providing jobs for other people. If you did that, you'd find that city, state, and federal regulations, along with the unions and Philly's delightful "business privilege tax" make it a cost prohibitive nightmare of red tape. The big corporations can obsorb those costs, bot because they're evil, but because they have a wide base of operations. It's the small businesses that would be enriching you and your communities that are hurt most by these taxes and regulations. High taxes and heav regulations don't hurt the millionaires, they just keep you from becoming one.

So let's do this. You should also stay on top of your bible with a attitude of helping your brother's and sister's out It said this was gonna happen in the bible as a repeat so it's time to have discussions and turn this around or the greedy will take and make worse

While I agree that parents are not staying on top of their children I also understand why they don't in many cases. Many of these parents are sick. Some are sick with the biopsychosocial disease of addiction and some are economically sick with the disease of poverty. In either case the children suffer from both of these family oriented diseases and they are confounded disease within our community of complacency. Since the banks got bailed out jobs were lost and social and educational programs were cut The children are suffering due to lack of supports for both them and their absentee parents. Therefore it is time for the Village to step up.

Philly's failings are not because of big banks or big corporations, it's because the PEOPLE don't care what's going on, as long as they get theirs. Parents don't stay on top of their kids nor on top of their government. You can't just sail thru life, you have to work at it.

What do you mean by "If these corporations had paid their fair share in taxes"? Which corporations aren't? How much constitutes a "fair share"?
